1981 / Comedy / Romance
Movie information
This one has the dubious honor of being the worst DVD that I possess. In my never ending quest to watch/obtain tons of eurosleaze and trash, I acquired this on the Spanish eBay along with some other movies of a DVD collection called "Clasificada S" and that has some lost gems from Jess Franco, Carlos Aured, Ignacio Iquino, etc.
From the start, I was doubtful about the flick – I mean; this is called "The Plumber, His Wife… And Other Thing to Put Inside"!!! Ferchrissakes! Anyway I was disposed to give it a go – I had already seen other films from director Carlos Aured: the nasty as hell "Apocalipsis Sexual", also produced in 1981, which is very interesting and "El Retorno DE Walpurgis" ("Curse of the Devil"), which is great.
The main letdown is that the story is exactly what the title suggests – this is a comedy about a plumber (Ricardo Diaz) who, after finding is wife (Montserrat Prous) in bed with his best mate, engages in a series of sexual encounters with about all the oh-so-lonely housewives and other women that required his services. Indeed, calling it a comedy is a bit of a stretch – because it simply is not funny and as one can see, we're talking about some serious lack of imagination here. Plus, the acting is stiff as a lead pipe – Ricardo Diaz a serious candidate for man-statue of 1981.
